Like the title states, this picture really is 'all about the light'. The sun rays are captured in such a way that they seem to change the colour of the rocks. The darkness at the bottom left makes you wonder if this is the only light at the end of that deep tunnel. Some might think that there is too much solid blue sky at the top, compared to the complexity of colours in the rest of the picture. I think that the angle could have been altered a little bit to involved more at the bottom than the top, if it would not have changed the way the lighting was captured. Of course, that is up to the photographer. Some may also think that the rainbow sort of glare is an issue, however since there is already such a variety of colours, it fits in with the picture even nicer. The spot where the picture was taken makes the viewer think about life, mostly because that is what sunsets and sky picture make you do. Originality rating is a bit lower just because there are a lot of pictures of sunsets out there. The balance in this picture is terrific. Very nicely captured :)

This is stellar. It looks like a little rainbow planet is shooting light out to make the sun. Or vice versa...I can't decide.

This is surreal :)

What kind of camera do you use?

thank you!

For this one in particular it was a Nikon D80 with a Circular polarizer filter.. I think I was using my 18-200mm VR that day.. 3 image exposure made into an HDR with PhotoMatix Pro.. noise reduction with neat image.. final processing with CS3 (well actually noise reduction is the last step.. so yeah)

I also have a Nikon D-70 and several point and shoots.. I plan on getting whatever the latest D-hundred series (ie. D-300 or 700) when I graduate a year and a half from now.. so far away :*(

cheers!

Yeah, I reeeallly want a new nice camera as well. Mine is a point and shoot so it doesn't take the best quality :|

well.. as long as you can take 6mp the resolution should be fine.. is the metering off or something?.. does it have any manual controls?

cheers

Oh well there's no problem with the camera, I just would love to have a nicer one rather than the Sony Cybershot I have now.

Thanks for the watch, btw.
